FAQ
Frequently asked questions about ZalienFuel.
Do I need it on the server and on the clients?
Yes, on both. Fluids are registered blocks and items, so every client needs the jar too.
Are my old fluids and buckets converted automatically?
No. They keep working as they are. Convert them with the crafting table or Create mixer recipes, 1:1.
Do I need all the supported mods installed?
No. Per-mod handling and the conversion recipes only load when that mod is installed.
What happens to oil lakes and springs that already exist in my world?
They stay as the old mod's oil. Only newly generated chunks get ZalienFuel crude oil.
Can I remove ZalienFuel later?
Yes, but like with any mod that adds fluids, its fluids disappear from tanks and buckets.
A recipe of mine should not be touched. What now?
Add its id (ns:path) or the whole namespace (ns:*) to recipeExclusions in the
configuration.
I changed fuel tags in my pack and TFMG ignores it.
TFMG caches fuel types statically. Restart the game; /reload is not enough.
Can my modpack use ZalienFuel fluids in its own recipes?
Yes: #c:diesel (or any other common tag), or zalienfuel:diesel directly, from a datapack or KubeJS.
Where do I report a bug?
Open an issue with the mod list (or modpack name and
version), what you did, and the latest.log.
Troubleshooting
A machine stopped working after fuel unification
An old fluid (for example another mod's diesel) is probably still sitting in the machine's tank, and the recipes now want the ZalienFuel one. Fix it with one of:
- Empty the tank (drain it with a pump or bucket) and let the machine refill with the ZalienFuel fluid.
- Pick the machine up and place it again.
- Run an admin conversion near it:
/zalienfuel migrate dryrun radius 32, then/zalienfuel migrate radius 32(see Admin commands).
Superheated Electric Heater never uses coolant
By design for now: superheaterRequiresCoolant is false until the Industrial Cooler ships.
The Oil Scanner says nothing in range
Ungenerated terrain cannot be searched (only Oil Chunk works there). Explore and scan again; check the battery (a red battery on the screen means too little FE for a scan).
